New marketing trends show up every year and provide marketers with innovative ways to improve marketing programs. This year would be no different.   1. Average Revenue Per User (ARPU)

ARPU provides marketers insight into what website action (personalization or optimization) translates into revenue. With ARPU, we measure revenue generated per user or unit. It is usually calculated as total revenue then divided by the number of users, subscribers, or units. 

2.      Demand Generation

Demand generation is about running advertising campaigns to create service or product awareness and generate demand.

This marketing term is based on an approach that includes establishing positioning relevance, building product awareness, and mitigating customer evaluation. 

  • Conversational AI

Conversational AI is the technology behind speech-enabled applications and automated messaging that offer human-like interactions. Thanks to recognizing text and speech, understanding different languages, understanding intent, and responding naturally, conversational AI communicates like people. Conversational AI solutions may be offered over voice modalities and text and the devices and channels that support these modalities.

4. Customer Data Ethics

What does Customer Data Ethics mean? It is a concept about aligning business with ethical and moral policies. In digital marketing, customer data ethics is essential in mobile marketing, consumer segmentation, advertising targeting, customer service, passive data collection, and loyalty programs. This need is based on two factors: the power of several digital technology giants that control massive amounts of customer data and consumers concerned about how their data is being collected and used.

5. Multichannel Selling

Buyers today don’t spend all of their money only in one place. They appreciate offers such as lower prices, faster shipping, or a more varied choice via multiple channels. Companies need to meet today’s clients where they are — on their smartphones, laptops, and tablets.

Using multichannel selling includes listing products and finishing sales on multiple channels, including Amazon, Walmart, eBay.

6. Customer Onboarding 

With The customer onboarding process, marketers define how new clients progress from the start of their relationship with a brand (typically with a purchase) into a long-term relationship. 

7. Meta (Metaverse)

Facebook changed its “old” name to the new one – Meta. Facebook is betting big on the Metaverse, which means augmented and virtual experiences. 

8. Marketing Localization

Since the pandemic, more customers have moved out of big cities to the rural regions and suburbs. This has started a trend toward localized marketing, with people shopping primarily in their neighborhood stores and purchasing more locally sourced products. 

9. Website personalization 

Today’s consumers love it when content is personalized for them. Therefore, they respond better to it. This is why website personalization became a popular tactic that customizes content based on particular criteria. 

10. Heatmap 

Heatmap is a colorful graphic that visually displays how people interact with a web page. It allows you to see where visitors click, where they stopped scrolling, what they ignore, among all other interactions.
