Are you hiring a new employee or looking for a job opportunity?
There is a new tool that helps both hiring managers and job seekers.
LinkedIn has introduced two features –the first one will notify when a first- or second-degree connection is hiring. When a connection from the network posts a relevant job or adds to their profile photo a #hiring, LinkedIn will notify the job seeker.
Another feature appears when a member clicks on the job’s details page. There they will see the “Meet the Hiring Team” feature and become able to connect and message the whole team listed in this section.
Using these features, it will become much easier for members to find jobs through their connections and stand out during the hiring process.
Pinned comments
LinkedIn appreciates posts with a lot of engagement; therefore, this platform allows comments to be pinned, yet only one at a time.
You may comment on posts and reply to those from other members. You may also pin and unpin a comment.
Few notes:
· Members can limit commenting, so you won’t be able to leave a comment if you aren’t their 1st-degree connection.
· Members can also disable comments on their posts. ·
If a member comments on their post, an Author tag is displayed next to their name.
LinkedIn Pages and profiles will allow you to choose an industry that best matches your company. Adding an industry will also help you connect to relevant opportunities and content. After adding an industry, other members can easily find you or your Page when searching for a specific person in your industry.
You may choose from the industry options that are currently available. Check them once
in a while as they might change.
Contact manager
You can now bring together all the contacts – from your emails, address books, calendars, and your LinkedIn network by using LinkedIn Contacts Manager. Storing all contacts in one place will help you keep them up to date.
Important Note: Your connections and contacts are not the same things.
You can use LinkedIn Contacts Manager and import or invite your contacts from email or other sources. You can remove specific contacts from your LinkedIn Contacts Manager address book or withdraw the invitations if you have accidentally sent invitations to the imported contacts.
Add a clickable link to the image or video post
LinkedIn has introduced a new way to drive more website traffic by including clickable links in photos.
Using the post creation tools in mobile app, you can add link stickers both to your photos and videos. A chainlink icon button will show up so you can quickly add it to your post.
Note: This feature is unavailable on the desktop version of Linkedin.
