When it’s time to stop hating TikTok and start using it?

Recent research has shown that people are not going to TikTok as they go to other social media platforms, people are WATCHING TikTok like they watch Netflix.

What’s more, Netflix has officially checked TikTok as its competitor.

That’s huge!

Even though we are seeing a lot of hate around TikTok on other social media platforms, it’s inevitable that TikTok is exponentially growing.

Not only more and more influencers are switching to TikTok, but businesses as well.

But isn’t TikTok just for kids?

It’s true, TikTok started out as a platform for Gen Z, as it was suitable for children of the age of 13 and above. Most of the early adopters were people (we won’t say kids) belonging to Gen Z, but that has changed over time, now everyone is using TikTok and somehow ditching Facebook.

If you are a fan of Instagram stories, you should go to TikTok.

As soon as Instagram rolled out the feature allowing everyone to share images or short videos that disappear after 24h, the world went crazy about it.

The main reason is that people have the need to find out what’s behind the scenes, and the Instagram story is a format that allows them to do so.

They want a peek into celebrities’ lives, and there’s no better way to do so than following Instagram stories.

At least that was before TikTok.

The creators of TikTok have managed to create a platform where people can post fun, engaging, and intimate videos. It’s like the whole new level of behind-the-scenes.

People feel that they have more personal connections with brands posting to TikTok, and we can safely say that some brands have managed to go from non-existence to millions of followers in just a couple of months.

Why should your business be on TikTok?

If you are not already convinced that you should start creating video content on TikTok, let’s take a look at a couple of benefits that you can get from this popular platform.

  1. Exposure. Exposure. Exposure.

As we mentioned earlier, people are WATCHING TikTok. They spend hours of scrolling and watching videos. What’s even better is that new videos constantly appear on their feed, so your video can easily be one of them.

Needless to say, the more interesting videos you create, the higher your chances that a lot of people will see them.

Now you might say: ‘But I’m not that creative.’

 Well… the good thing about TikTok is that most of the time there are a couple of trends circulating. You can easily hop on that trend, do what others do (just tailored to your business), and you are signed for success.

  • Your competitors are probably still not bold enough to start creating TikTok videos

The truth is that people are still on the fence about TikTok, and they are still not aware of its potential. The sooner you start, the more results you’ll have. And don’t worry, TikTok is not going anywhere, it will just grow and become a more competitive space.

  • Lots of engagement

What we do with other social media platforms is we ACTUALLY pay for advertising so that people can engage with our brand.

We spend countless hours creating content good enough so that people can engage with it.

And then comes TikTok, and it looks like people have saved all of their wills for engagement for TikTok.

Just like with the previous points that we have emphasized, TikTok is still an unexplored place for most businesses, and at the moment, everything is blooming.

We can’t say that it will stay like this for years,  but if you were planning to jump on the TikTok trend – now it’s the time.

To conclude…

It’s not all unicorns and rainbows on TikTok. You’d still need to create a strategy, invest time in creating content, optimizing your content, and do many other things.

Besides, you’d need to spend some time on TikTok first, to see how everything goes, and to be able to catch the current trends.

However, if you decide to do so, we can say that it will certainly pay off.
